Like most guys I don't read the manual first. I look at the parts and try to figure it out on my own, that's what men do. If I can not succeed at figuring it out I will then glance and the manual only too look at the pictures and then go back to trying to do it on my own with no help from a "stupid book". Then at all costs, when I have been at it too long, and my wife is yelling, I will then sit down and read the manual on how to put whatever I am doing together.

I would encourage most men in similar situations to follow the above protocol to ensure their man status is kept in tact. However when putting together baby stuff, whether it is a stroller, crib, bassinet, whatever, they always seem to thrown in steps that just are not logical but MUST be done. So I am going to suggest against all MAN LAW codes ...that when putting together baby equipment of any kind to read the manual.

Shhhh ... don't tell my wife I said that .....wink*

I agree! I put together something...can't remember right now what it was...but it had wheels. It had those damned clips that keep the wheel from falling off the axle...you know the ones that once they are on, the only way to take it off is to break it!

Well, I forgot a bushing or something small and of course it wouldn't roll right. Luckily I had a similar clip that I found in my bin of "spare parts" from previous projects...but if I didn't have that spare clip I would have heard the "Follow the Instructions speech from my wife. :D

Yeah its like that stupid "quiz" they gave him in middle school. The teacher over and over before taking it says please read the instructions.

You grab the test from her hand and start taking it ....
its all easy stuff.

1. Draw a square.
2. Put a dot in the square.
3. Whats 3+3
4. Write your name in the square below the dot.
....
.... you spend 20 minutes doing all the stupid steps
.....
25. Do not do any of the above and flip over your paper.

You think to yourself? What? Then you go back and read the instructions and and it says please read the entire life of steps before you do anything.

DAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM The man wins again .....
